1) Living in the country or in the city has
both advantages and disadvantages.
2) If you live in the city, you have many
opportunities to get good education, to go
in for sport or develop your talents in numerous
clubs and studios. 3) At weekends
you can visit different museums, galleries,
theatres or concerts. 4) Moreover, you have
more job opportunities here. 5) If you live in
the country, you can enjoy fresh and clean
air all year round. 6) Country life is very
peaceful, quiet and less stressful. 7) People
here are very friendly because they know
each other. 8) You may grow your own fruit
and vegetables or keep chickens and cows
and have fresh meat, milk and eggs.
9) On the other hand, there are some disadvantages
of living in both places. 10) Our
cities are overcrowded. 11) Sometimes it
takes hours to get to the necessary place
and people suffer from traffic jams and the
lack of fresh air. 12) Life in the countryside
may seem boring as there are no theatres,
cinemas and clubs here. 13) Moreover,
there isn’t much public transport and you
need to have your own car to get to the
hospital or to the supermarket.
14) All in all, every place is good for living.
15) But I still don’t know which one to choose.

2) Якщо ти живеш у місті, ти маєш
багато можливостей здобути гарну
освіту, займатись спортом чи розвивати
свої таланти у численних гуртках та
студіях. 3) У вихідні можна відвідувати
різні музеї, галереї, театри чи
концерти. 4) До того ж у вас тут більше
можливостей знайти роботу. 5) Якщо ти
живеш у сільській місцевості, ти можеш
насолоджуватись свіжим чистим пові-
трям протягом всього року. 6) Життя
в селі дуже спокійне, тихе та менш
напружене. 7) Люди тут дуже приві-
тні, тому що знають один одного. 8) Ти
можеш вирощувати власні фрукти та
овочі чи тримати курей та корів і мати
свіже м’ясо, молоко та яйця.
9) З іншого боку, є недоліки про-
живання в обох місцях. 10) Наші міста
переповнені людьми. 11) Іноді ви го-
динами добираєтесь до певного місця,
люди страждають від автомобільних
заторів, та їм бракує свіжого повітря.
12) Життя у сільській місцевості може
здатись нудним, тому що тут немає те-
атрів, кінотеатрів та клубів. 13) Більше
того, тут мало громадського транспорту
і необхідно мати власне авто, щоб дістатись
лікарні чи супермаркету.
14) В цілому жити гарно в кожному
місці. 15) Але я ще не вирішив, яке
обрати.

історичного періоду.
7) Наш екскурсовод, симпатична
жінка, розповіла нам багато цікавих
фактів, пов’язаних з історією місця, де
ми живемо. 8) Я багато дізнався про
історію заснування нашого міста, про
керівників і відомих людей, які жили
та працювали в нашому регіоні у різні
часи. 9) Ми були вражені розповіддю
екскурсовода, тому що факти, про які
ми дізнались, не знайдеш у жодному
підручнику з історії.

people’s psyche if they can’t filter the information
shown. 12) A lot of violence in films
and serials
can make teenagers aggressive
or depressed. 13) So you have to be very accurate
in the choice of what to watch.

пулярніших засобів інформації у наші
часи. 2) Воно може розважати і за-
бавляти, виховувати й інформувати.
3) Не дивно, що підлітки проводять
багато вільного часу переключаючи
канали у пошуках своїх улюблених
телепередач. 4) Більшість підлітків
віддають перевагу фільмам та серіа-
лам. 5) Деяким подобається дивитись
музичні телеканали. 6) Багато молодих
людей цікавляться освітніми канала-
ми, такими як «National Geographic» чи
«Discovery». 7) Там багато захопливих
телепередач про подорожі, природу, на-
уку та технології. 8) Багато українських
шоу стали популярними серед під-
літків. 9) Це — «Україна має талант»
та «Майстер шеф», що показують на
каналі «СТБ».
10) Однак телебачення не тільки ін-
формує та розважає. 11) Воно може руй-
нувати психіку слабких людей, якщо
вони не можуть фільтрувати показану
інформацію. 12) В серіалах і фільмах
багато насилля, що може зробити під-
літків агресивними чи пригніченими.
13) Отже, треба бути дуже обережним
у виборі того, що дивитись.

school such as Maths, Ukrainian, Literature,
Physics, English, Biology and many others.

role in our education, but still not all of

my favourite subjects are Ukrainian, History,
Maths and English. 4) I think it is very
important to know your native language
and literature because they are a part of our
culture and history. 5) Maths teaches us to
operate numbers because we live in a world
of numbers and we have to do a lot of calculations
every day. 6) History gives us information
about the life of people in the past which
is necessary to understand modern society
better. 7) Knowledge of English provides
us with opportunities to communicate with
people from all over the world, to travel to
other countries and to read literature of different
kinds in the origin. 8) I am sure that
all these subjects will be very helpful for me in
my future career. 9) I believe that my attitude
to the subject depends on the teacher.
10) If the lessons are interesting and informative,
the teacher is friendly and intelligent,
this school subject will be among your

метів у школі, таких як математика,
українська мова, література, фізика,
англійська мова, біологія та багато
інших. 2) Звичайно, всі ці предмети віді-
грають важливу роль у нашій освіті, але
все ж не всі вони можуть вплинути на
наше майбутнє. 3) Серед моїх улюбле-
них предметів українська мова, історія,
математика та англійська. 4) Я вважаю,
що дуже важливо знати рідну мову та
літературу, тому що вони — частина на-
шої культури та історії. 5) Математика
навчає нас оперувати цифрами, адже
ми живемо у світі цифр і нам доводить-
ся робити чимало розрахунків щодня.
6) Історія надає нам інформацію про
життя людей у минулому, що необхідно,
щоб краще розуміти сучасне суспіль-
ство. 7) Знання англійської надають
нам можливості спілкуватись з людьми
з усього світу, подорожувати до інших
країн та читати будь-яку літературу
в оригіналі. 8) Я впевнений, що всі ці
предмети будуть дуже корисними для
мене в моїй майбутній кар’єрі. 9) Я вва-
жаю, що моє ставлення до предмета
залежить від учителя.

ною, тобі слід займатись тим чи іншим
видом спорту.
6) Щодо мене, я люблю грати у во-
лейбол та кататись на велосипеді.
7) Я часто катаюсь на велосипеді з мо-
їми друзями влітку. 8) Завдяки моєму
велосипеду я можу поїхати за місто та

думку, участь в різних гуртках — це
дуже корисна справа, тому що ти маєш
можливість розвивати свої здібності

мене, я займаюсь плаванням. 5) Не-
далеко від мого будинку є чудовий
басейн, отже, мені не потрібно витра-
чати багато часу, щоб дістатись туди.
6) Я відвідую цей басейн вже п’ять
років. 7) Вперше я прийшов туди, коли
